November 2007

This section of the site is now undergoing overhaul.

Jan 2007

After a break of some years due to domestic issues, I've returned to the railway site, and have updated the OWW timeline regarding the possibility of re-doubling of the line.

Jan 2004

The site has been merged with my other two railway sites, and a few updates have been written into some of the timelines.

July 2003

I have added an entry regarding the recent incident on the line to the OWW timeline.

November 2002

Revisions to the timelines for the Moreton-Evesham and Redditch-Ashchurch lines.

September 2002

A chance discovery by my father, John Kyte, has led to three photographs taken in Evesham to be published on this site. In the interest of promoting the site, I'm not going to give the exact locations away.

August 2002

Bearing in mind that future modifications to all of my railway sites may see visitors switched between the sites (see below), I am "redecorating" this site to hopefully reduce any confusion generated between this and RotFoD. I am also installing backup links on pages using the "pop-up" links.

I have elected to discontinue updating the Webrings info on this site, and map the links to the relevant ringmaster site. As it stands, I find myself updating five pages; the new arrangement will reduce this to two.

The email links have been changed to reflect the new home of the site. This should have been done sooner; apologies for any inconvenience.

July 2002

The home page now carries an indication of when the tours page is updated as well as when the site is modified as a whole.

Pictures of the 1st "Elgar Explorer" tour with 60009 "Union of South Africa" have been posted.

I have decided not to move this back to its previous address; I cannot do so anyway as (as far as I can tell from the vague emails from them) the ISP involved have revoked webspace to those users unwilling to pay for the privilege. I won't guarantee not to move this again, but all being well, this site will remain here at least until the autumn of this year.

June 2002

The link to the "Exmoor Coast Express" review has been removed from the tours page, although the page can still be accessed from this link.

Pictures of Toddington and Winchcombe stations have been added (I must admit I've been intending to do this for a while).

May 2002

A prototype virtual tour of the area around Evesham station has been installed, although some more work is still required on it.

January 2002

Having taken over the GWR webring, a introductory page has been added to this site for that webring. A provisional tour guide for 2002 has been added and the tours page will cover all stations in the area covered by this site from Jan 2002. The LMS webring instructions have been re-written to allow use of new facilities provided by Webring to manage applicants.

November 2001

Changes to LMS webring instructions (again) to reflect new ownership of the webring system.

September 2001

I have modified the LMS webring instructions again.

The tours page has been expanded to included tours in and out of Stratford-Upon-Avon.

August 2001

Due to slow servers, the site has migrated to a new home.

July 2001

Pictures of 5029 "Nunney Castle"

The LMS webring instructions have been re-written with more detail on the submission process.

The area map has been modified slightly, and a section on the Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway has been added..

June 2001

Pictures of 4472 "Flying Scotsman"

A railtours page has been added, containing information about steam railtours on the Oxford-Worcester line.

New "pop-up" navigational bars are being installed as well as some background colour.

The first photographic diaries of Evesham station have been added. I intend to add more throughout the year, hopefully with one or two "special guests" (See above).

May 2001

A photograph of Evesham station has been inserted into the station information page.

In response to a letter in Webuser I have switched the main text to a higher font setting in order to make the site more "friendly" in higher resolutions. If you have any comments on this, please feel free to email me using the link on the home page.

A guide to contributing to this site has been added

Pages for two stations have been added, Broom Junction & Salford Priors

April 2001

A personal recollection by Mr John Kyte, my father.
A review of Pathfinder Tours : "The Exmoor Coast Express"
A mini-timeline of "The Battle of Mickleton"

This site is also now part of the Yahoo GWR Webring (See bottom of home page for more details). I have also (hopefully) fixed the bad links and added missing links on the line diagram.
